Getting There

Directions by road: On the A972 (travelling from South & Perth): Turn off onto the slip road signposted for Coupar Angus (A923). Turn right, crossing over the A972 towards the Levi Jeans factory, go straight ahead at the roundabout here. Heading into Lochee turn left at the second roundabout into Harefield Road. Keep going until you cross a roundabout outside a superstore. The ground is on the on right (opposite the Laidlaw Ford car dealership) down Balfield Road (which is first right after the next set of traffic lights).

The atmosphere at East Craigie is dead, literally - perhaps because one side of the ground is a cemetery. There is some form of structure in one corner but beyond that the ground is in severe disrepair. The boundary wall has collapsed in several places and the 'terracing' consists of overgrown grass. This could rival Glasgow Perthshire for having the worst ground in the country.

A selection of views of Beechwood Park in 2006 from Alastair Fraser

Beechwood Park, home of Lochee Harp, is quite basic, and is mainly surrounded by steeply to not so steeply sloped grass banking. There is a low-roofed whitewashed stone-enclosed covered stand behind one of the goals while the pitch is rimmed by a grey perimeter wall.

Social Club: unknown

Club Information:
I'm told that Lochee Harp's diehard support is 20 old men who can clearly remember the days of when the club won every honour there was available! Sadly those days have long since past. Crowds generally can swing between 20 and 100 depending on the weather and the opposition.
