Arthurlie
are one of the region's most successful sides of recent times and are always fancied
to be in and around the end of season honours. Lie have a healthy following; there
is always a good 300 at each game. However, when Pollok come to call, expect crowds
well over 500. Arthurlie as
a name has been in Scottish football since the late 19th Century, and it is a
name to have been in Senior, Amateur, Intermediate and Junior football. The present
side formed in 1930 after the amateur side folded, joining the Intermediate set-up.
The Central Region SJFA formed a year later in 1931.
