The turnstiles at Somervell Park are located behind the social club in one corner of the ground, and a teabar can be located on one side of the social club. Somervell has a tidy and spacious covered enclosure (decked out in blue) with concrete steps. A fairly undeveloped ground that has proved problematic to Wanderers in recent years, leading to the club living up to their name. A season at Carluke preceded by stints at Carnwath public park were forced upon the club when Kingshill Park proved unusable a few years back. They recently built a new clubhouse, which also houses a tea bar.

Greenfield Park from the Thorniewood United website

The ground is right on the street and has turnstiles at either end of the pitch. Two covered stands (in differing levels of disrepair) are separated by the half way line changing rooms. A tea bar can be found on the west wall of the changing rooms. There is some neat concrete stepped terracing that surrounds the remainder of the ground and surprisingly isn't in as much disrepair as the two enclosures. One thing that should be noted is that Greenfield Park sits at the top of a hill. Opposite the two stands the terracing is wide open and is prone to getting a freezing wind blowing up from the Campsie fells and the railway line.

Millburn Park c/o Mike Floate

Millburn Park from the Thorniewood United website

Capacity: 3000
Seats: none
Cover: There is just about a covered enclosure - half the roof is missing!

A relic from a previous time, Millburn Park is 'a bit of a dump'. There is a pie stand at the pavilion (which looks like a blockhouse in Kosovo), but the pitch however is superb. There once was a huge covered enclosure, but half of the roof has since gone missing - and therefore doesn't provide much sanctuary in a gale. All four sides are concrete step terraced.

Vale once were members of the Scottish League... sort of. The current club is not really connected with that side, although the name and ground are the same. There was also another Vale of Leven playing Junior football while the Scottish League side were in existance.
