Two views of Kilbirnie's Valefield from Brian Weir

A number of Valefield views from Jamie Wire - the portakabin is a hospitality suite while the wood-clad building is a changing rooms block.

Kilbirnie Ladeside's ground is situated at the southern end of the town near the village of Glencarnock. There are two turnstiles, one on the main road and one behind the Glengarnock end goal. The two stands are quite interesting. One is decked out with wooden sleepers for terracing while the other is (like the rest of the ground) concrete stepped. Opposite the two covered enclosures is a small open terrace with the club's hospitality areas also found here. The cheapskate supporter can find many ways of viewing games here for free, either by standing on the large hill that overlooks Valefield or by looking through the mesh fence that surrounds three sides of the ground.

The Ladeside committee have worked hard to spruce up the ground, and believe it is one of the best in the West of Scotland juniors.

Social Club: There is no social club, but Garnock Labour Club is relatively nearby. To get there, turn right at above traffic lights, towards Dalry then 4th on left as you are just about to leave town. Another alternative is the Glendale Arms which is next to Glengarnock station and is popular with supporters.

Club Information:

Ladeside are probably one of the top six clubs in Ayrshire, and are one of the clubs who win trophies now and then. They have a regular and fairly vociferous support of around 150.
