Three views of Hannah Park from Tony Collins
With
the largest playing surface in Scotland, watching football at Hannah Park seems
like a slightly remote experience. The big covered enclosure probably provides
the best view of the park while behind the end opposite to the social club is
a bit of curved terracing that seems so far away from the other end of the pitch
that you might as well be at another game. Facing the enclosure is yet more stepped
terracing (along with both dugouts) and behind the remaining goal is another section
of curved terracing. The social club was refurbished recently and is superb. Hannah
Park also has a set of floodlights that are rarely used. If
the funding can be obtained, the pitch is to be moved in order to build a 5-a-side
pitch next to the social club. The enclosure will then be relocated to the other
side of the park and a seated stand constructed in its current place Social
Club: There is an excellent social club |

Information: Shotts were rather controversially suspended from the
Central League in 1995 for one season and as a result they lost a large proportion
of the younger supporters. However, despite being demoted three divisions, upon
their return they won all three in concecutive seasons, an amazing achievement.
Nowadays SBA have a support of around 100, although Junior Cup games can bring
out the fairweathers. 2001
